The Future is Unpredictable.

We often go through life looking ahead. Work tirelessly in preparation for a better future, for something different along the horizon. As if there is an unwritten rule that if we work hard enough in the current moment then we will be awarded a break ahead. There is a notion within our society that if you work hard enough now the time off in the future will make it worth it. Sometimes when we pile all of our hard work together we leave little to no time for family, friends or ourselves for that matter.  We loose connection through connecting to various external circumstances and the time continues to pass. We continue to plan ahead for the next vacation or upcoming relaxing weekend with an idea of how blissful it will be, whenever that day may come.

Well, as it turns out, living for the future is risky business.

There is no certainty in tomorrow, in what your ability then will be. So the lesson becomes to embrace the beauty of each moment in its simplest form. Look deeply into your current days and ask yourself; What pieces of your day to remind you to take a deep breath? Which people in your life do you smile at the sound of their voices? When was the last time you felt truly connected to yourself?
Reflect on the way you spend your days, the people you surround yourself with. Putting off happiness or quality time with loved ones as something you will do in the future is essentially gambling with the uncertainty of life ahead.

Find moments of bliss in the mundane. Discover bits of joy in daily life you have created because the future is unpredictable.

Blooming through Adversity.

There is strength in trees, in plants, in flowers.
The way that they can thrive in harsh conditions and withstand chaos of storms. Change with the seasons and continuously grow into new spaces. We can learn a great deal from the way their roots, though they may not be visible to the eye, are in constant growth. Digging themselves deeper into the earth, making their being sturdy and grounded within themselves.

It can be dark and scary to grow into the depths of the unknown. To have to find your way without any light. To move forward in your darkest of times and strengthen your platform beneath the surface. This type of growth can only be understood within yourself. The people around you cannot see the complex beauty of your underground pathways. You have to grow through the darkness to build a sturdy foundation for your beautiful being to bloom.
And one day through all the challenges you face along the way, you will notice that you have bloomed through adversity.
